Clinical Overview
Rabeprazole Gastro-Resistant Tablets (20mg) is a second-generation proton pump inhibitor on the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines. It binds to gastric H+/K+-ATPase with high potency and dissociates more rapidly than first-generation PPIs, producing faster acid inhibition within hours of the first dose. Indicated for acute duodenal and gastric ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
