Clinical Overview
Silodosin (4mg/8mg) and Dutasteride (0.5mg) Capsules is an advanced fixed-dose combination for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). Silodosin is an ultra-selective alpha-1A adrenergic receptor antagonist (>160-fold selectivity over alpha-1B receptors), providing targeted bladder neck and prostatic relaxation with minimal vascular hypotensive effects. Dutasteride blocks both 5-alpha reductase isoforms, permanently lowering circulating and intraprostatic DHT to shrink prostate gland tissue. Indicated for treatment of moderate-to-severe LUTS associated with prostatic enlargement.
