Clinical Overview
Drotaverine Hydrochloride (80mg) and Aceclofenac (100mg) Tablets combines a selective phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4) inhibitor smooth muscle relaxant with a COX-2 preferential NSAID. Drotaverine elevates cyclic AMP in visceral smooth muscle to abolish spastic contractions, while aceclofenac inhibits prostaglandin synthesis, eliminating inflammation and pain. Indicated for severe spasmodic dysmenorrhea, biliary colic, renal/ureteric colic, and spasmodic abdominal pain.
