Clinical Overview
Aceclofenac (100mg) and Thiocolchicoside (4mg/8mg, with or without Paracetamol 325mg) Tablets is a potent muscle relaxant and anti-inflammatory combination. Aceclofenac inhibits COX-2-mediated prostaglandin synthesis, reducing joint and tissue inflammation. Thiocolchicoside is a semi-synthetic sulfur derivative of colchicoside that acts as a competitive antagonist at GABA-A and glycine receptors, exerting central muscle relaxant action to eliminate painful muscle contractures without causing heavy sedative drowsiness. Indicated for acute painful musculoskeletal conditions, acute lumbago, cervical radiculopathy, sprains, spasms, and post-traumatic muscle contractures.

Usage Guidelines
Take orally 1 tablet twice daily after meals with a full glass of water. Maximum treatment duration for thiocolchicoside is strictly 7 consecutive days. Swallow whole.
General Administration Advice: Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage, frequency, and treatment course. For oral medications, swallow with sufficient water. Never stop antibiotics, psychiatric medications, or antihypertensives abruptly without clinical direction.
Possible Side Effects
Common: Dyspepsia, nausea, diarrhea, drowsiness, dizziness, abdominal pain. Rare/Severe: Aneuploidy risk with thiocolchicoside metabolite M2 (potential chromosomal damage), seizures in epileptic patients, peptic ulceration, and hepatotoxicity.
*Note: Individual physiological responses vary. While many patients experience few or no side effects, notify your treating physician if adverse reactions persist or if hypersensitivity (angioedema, skin rash, dyspnea) occurs.
Precautions & Warnings
Strictly limit treatment duration to a maximum of 7 consecutive days due to reported aneugenic risk (chromosomal damage) from thiocolchicoside's active metabolite. Strictly contraindicated in pregnancy, lactation, women of childbearing potential not using contraception, and children <16 years. Contraindicated in epilepsy.
