Lidocaine
Active pharmaceutical substance formulated in Jan Aushadhi generic products for CNS, Nerve & Mental Health treatment.
🧴 Clinical Application
Administered by a licensed healthcare professional by local infiltration, nerve block, or IV infusion under sterile conditions. Always aspirate before injection to verify no vascular penetration. Lignocaine with Adrenaline must NEVER be injected into end-artery structures (fingers, toes, nose, ears, penis) due to risk of ischemic necrosis.
⚠️ Side Effects
Common: Local numbness, stinging at injection site, transient dizziness. Rare/Severe: Local Anesthetic Systemic Toxicity (LAST: perioral numbness, tinnitus, muscle twitching, seizures, cardiovascular collapse), anaphylaxis, and ischemic tissue necrosis with adrenaline.
🛡️ Safety Warnings
Strictly avoid formulations with Adrenaline in end-artery appendages (digits, ears, nose, penis) due to gangrene risk. Toxic doses or accidental IV injection causes LAST; have lipid emulsion and resuscitation equipment ready. Caution in cardiac arrhythmias and severe liver disease.

Lignocaine Injection 2% w/v
Lignocaine (Lidocaine) Hydrochloride is the gold-standard amino-amide local anesthetic and Class Ib antiarrhythmic agent on the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines. It reversibly blocks voltage-gated sodium channels in neuronal cell membranes, stopping the generation and propagation of pain signals. When combined with Adrenaline (Epinephrine 1:80,000), localized vasoconstriction reduces surgical bleeding, slows systemic anesthetic absorption, and doubles the duration of local anesthesia. Indicated for infiltration anesthesia, regional nerve blocks, epidural anesthesia, and treatment of acute ventricular arrhythmias.
Lignocaine + Adrenaline Injection (2%w/v + 1:80000)
Lignocaine Hydrochloride Injection (20ml)

It reversibly blocks voltage-gated sodium channels in neuronal cell membranes, stopping the generation and propagation of pain signals. Clotrimazole 1% w/v + Lignocaine Hydrochloride 2% w/v Ear Drops
Clotrimazole and Lignocaine Hydrochloride ear drops is an antifungal and local anesthetic otic combination. Clotrimazole (1% w/v) disrupts fungal cell membrane permeability, eradicating Aspergillus niger and Candida species responsible for otomycosis, while lignocaine (2% w/v) reversibly blocks neuronal sodium channels, providing rapid relief of severe deep ear pain and pruritus. Indicated for fungal otitis externa (otomycosis) accompanied by pain and inflammation.
Paradichlorobenzene (2% w/v) + Chlorbutol (5% w/v) + Turpentine Oil (15% w/v) + Lidocaine (2% w/v) Ear drop
Ceruminolytic Ear Drop formulation combining Paradichlorobenzene (2%), Chlorbutol (5%), Turpentine Oil (15%), and Lidocaine (2%). Paradichlorobenzene hydrates and dissolves hard impacted cerumen; turpentine oil acts as a counter-irritant and cerumen liquefier; chlorbutol provides mild antibacterial and antifungal preservation; and lidocaine relieves localized ear canal pain and tension. Indicated for softening, loosening, and removal of hardened, impacted ear wax.
Lignocaine (Lidocaine) Hydrochloride 1.5% w/w + Nifedipine 0.3% w/w Cream
Lignocaine (Lidocaine) and Nifedipine topical cream is a specialized anorectal formulation. Lignocaine reversibly blocks neuronal sodium channels to provide rapid local analgesia, relieving severe anal pain and spasm, while nifedipine, a calcium channel blocker, relaxes the hypertonic internal anal sphincter muscle, reducing resting anal pressure and enhancing local mucosal blood perfusion to promote tissue healing. Indicated for the conservative medical management of acute and chronic anal fissures.
