Clinical Overview
Ciprofloxacin and Tinidazole is a broad-spectrum dual antimicrobial combination. Ciprofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone, inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, targeting aerobic Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, while tinidazole, a second-generation nitroimidazole, generates free nitro-radicals that damage protozoal and anaerobic DNA. Indicated for mixed aerobic-anaerobic bacterial and protozoal infections, including amoebiasis, giardiasis, bacterial dysentery, pelvic inflammatory disease, and dental abscesses.
