Usage Guidelines
Chew-and-Park method: Chew gum slowly until a peppery taste or slight tingling sensation is felt (about 10-15 chews), then "park" the gum between your cheek and gum. When the tingling fades, chew again and park in a different spot. Repeat for about 30 minutes. Do not swallow gum. Avoid food and drinks 15 minutes before and during chewing.
General Administration Advice: Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage, frequency, and treatment course. For oral medications, swallow with sufficient water. Never stop antibiotics, psychiatric medications, or antihypertensives abruptly without clinical direction.
Possible Side Effects
Common: Mouth and throat irritation, hiccups, nausea, dyspepsia, jaw muscle ache, excessive salivation. Rare/Severe: Tachycardia, palpitations, headache, and dizziness.
*Note: Individual physiological responses vary. While many patients experience few or no side effects, notify your treating physician if adverse reactions persist or if hypersensitivity (angioedema, skin rash, dyspnea) occurs.
Precautions & Warnings
Use with caution in patients with recent myocardial infarction, severe cardiac arrhythmias, or unstable angina. Keep strictly out of reach of children and pets, as small doses of nicotine can be fatal to infants or animals.
