Tramadol
Active pharmaceutical substance formulated in Jan Aushadhi generic products for Pain, Fever & Arthritis treatment.
🧴 Clinical Application
Administer by slow intravenous injection over 2 to 3 minutes, by slow IV infusion, or intramuscularly (50 to 100 mg every 4 to 6 hours, maximum 400 mg daily). Rapid IV push must be strictly avoided as it triggers severe nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and diaphoresis.
⚠️ Side Effects
Common: Nausea, vomiting, dizziness, sedation, dry mouth, sweating, headache. Rare/Severe: Respiratory depression, seizures, severe hypotension/syncope, anaphylaxis, and serotonin syndrome.
🛡️ Safety Warnings
Schedule H1 Controlled Substance: Inject slowly IV over 2-3 minutes. High risk of seizures when combined with drugs that lower seizure threshold. Naloxone only partially reverses tramadol toxicity and may increase seizure risk. Strictly avoid in patients with respiratory depression or acute head trauma.
Jan Aushadhi Products containing Tramadol
Found 7 generic formulation(s) containing this active ingredient.
Tramadol Hydrochloride Injection 100 mg per 2 ml
Tramadol Hydrochloride Injection (50mg/ml, 100mg/2ml) is an injectable central opioid analgesic on the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines. It binds to mu-opioid receptors and inhibits neuronal reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin in spinal cord dorsal horn synapses. Indicated for moderate-to-severe acute pain, post-operative surgical pain, renal colic, and severe trauma pain where oral administration is unfeasible.
Tramadol HCl Injection 50mg 1 ml
Tramadol Hydrochloride Injection (50mg/ml, 100mg/2ml) is an injectable central opioid analgesic on the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines. It binds to mu-opioid receptors and inhibits neuronal reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin in spinal cord dorsal horn synapses. Indicated for moderate-to-severe acute pain, post-operative surgical pain, renal colic, and severe trauma pain where oral administration is unfeasible.
Tramadol Tablets 50mg
Tramadol Hydrochloride Tablets (50mg, 100mg Prolonged Release) is an oral centrally acting synthetic atypical opioid analgesic on the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines. It exerts a dual synergistic mechanism: parent drug and its active M1 metabolite bind to mu-opioid receptors, while parent tramadol inhibits reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine, enhancing descending spinal inhibition. Indicated for management of moderate-to-moderately-severe acute and chronic pain.
Paracetamol 325mg + Tramadol 37.5mg Tablets
Paracetamol (162.5mg/325mg) and Tramadol Hydrochloride (18.75mg/37.5mg) Tablets is a synergistic, multi-mechanistic analgesic combination on the WHO Model List framework for moderate-to-severe pain. Tramadol acts as a weak mu-opioid receptor agonist while simultaneously inhibiting the reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin (5-HT) in the descending spinal pain inhibitory pathways. Paracetamol acts centrally to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis and activate descending serotonergic pathways. Combining them produces additive analgesia at lower individual doses with faster onset (paracetamol ~30 min) and extended duration (tramadol 6-8 hours). Indicated for management of moderate-to-severe acute pain, postoperative pain, acute musculoskeletal trauma, and severe osteoarthritis flares.
Tramadol Prolonged Release Tablets 100 mg
Tramadol Hydrochloride Tablets (50mg, 100mg Prolonged Release) is an oral centrally acting synthetic atypical opioid analgesic on the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines. It exerts a dual synergistic mechanism: parent drug and its active M1 metabolite bind to mu-opioid receptors, while parent tramadol inhibits reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine, enhancing descending spinal inhibition. Indicated for management of moderate-to-moderately-severe acute and chronic pain.
Paracetamol 162.5 mg + Tramadol 18.75 mg Tablet
Tramadol Hydrochloride (IR) 50mg + Diclofenac Sodium (SR) 75mg Tablets
Tramadol Hydrochloride (50mg immediate-release) and Diclofenac Sodium (75mg sustained-release) Tablets combines a centrally acting dual-mechanism opioid with a potent peripheral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Tramadol dampens central pain transmission via mu-opioid activation and monoaminergic reuptake inhibition; diclofenac blocks peripheral COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes to eliminate tissue inflammation and prostaglandin-mediated sensitization of nociceptors. Indicated for severe acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain, post-surgical orthopedic pain, and severe osteoarthritic/rheumatoid joint destruction.
