Clinical Overview
Levocloperastine (20mg/5ml) and Levodropropizine (30mg/5ml) Syrup is a non-opioid peripheral and central antitussive on the PMBI formulary. Acts primarily on peripheral sensory receptors in the tracheobronchial tree (inhibiting C-fiber sensory neuropeptide release) and selectively suppresses the central cough center without causing sedation, somnolence, respiratory depression, or constipation. Indicated for symptomatic treatment of irritating dry non-productive cough of various etiologies.
