Clinical Overview
Pregabalin and Etoricoxib pairs a centrally acting alpha-2-delta ligand with a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor. Pregabalin dampens neuropathic hyperalgesia and central sensitization, while etoricoxib selectively inhibits inducible COX-2, decreasing peripheral prostaglandin synthesis and localized inflammatory pain. Indicated for mixed nociceptive-neuropathic pain syndromes, severe radiculopathy, sciatica, and refractory spondylitis.
