Anti-D (Rho) Immunoglobulin (Monoclonal) 300 mcg is a sterile preparation of specific human IgG antibodies against the Rh(D) antigen on red blood cells, produced using recombinant or human monoclonal technology, on the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines. It binds to and neutralizes circulating fetal Rh(D)-positive erythrocytes in the maternal bloodstream before maternal immune recognition occurs, preventing maternal B-cell sensitization and Rh isoimmunization. Indicated for the prevention of hemolytic disease of the newborn (HDN) in Rh-negative mothers pregnant with an Rh-positive infant, routine antenatal prophylaxis at 28 weeks gestation, postpartum administration within 72 hours of delivery, and following miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies, amniocentesis, or abdominal trauma.

Usage Guidelines
For Deep Intramuscular (IM) injection ONLY: 300 mcg (1,500 IU) administered deep into the deltoid muscle or anterolateral thigh. Postpartum prophylaxis: administer as soon as possible and strictly within 72 hours after delivery of an Rh-positive infant (confirmed by newborn blood typing and negative maternal Coombs test). Antenatal prophylaxis: single dose at 28-30 weeks gestation. Reconstitute or inspect vial; do NOT administer intravenously.
General Administration Advice: Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage, frequency, and treatment course. For oral medications, swallow with sufficient water. Never stop antibiotics, psychiatric medications, or antihypertensives abruptly without clinical direction.
Possible Side Effects
Common: Local injection-site pain, soreness, mild transient fever, headache, chills, and malaise. Rare/Severe: Systemic anaphylaxis/hypersensitivity (especially in IgA-deficient individuals), intravascular hemolysis, and serum sickness.
*Note: Individual physiological responses vary. While many patients experience few or no side effects, notify your treating physician if adverse reactions persist or if hypersensitivity (angioedema, skin rash, dyspnea) occurs.
Precautions & Warnings
NEVER administer to the Rh-positive newborn infant. Contraindicated in Rh(D)-positive individuals, women already sensitized with pre-existing Anti-D antibodies (anti-D titer positive), and individuals with severe IgA deficiency. Perform maternal Kleihauer-Betke test in massive fetomaternal hemorrhage to determine if additional doses are required.
