Tofacitinib

Tofacitinib (2% w/w ointment) is a topical Janus kinase (JAK1/JAK3) inhibitor. It blocks intracellular JAK-STAT signaling pathways for multiple key inflammatory cytokines (IL-4, IL-13, IL-22, IL-31), rapidly reducing itch and clearing epidermal inflammation in inflammatory skin diseases without causing steroid-induced skin atrophy. Indicated for atopic dermatitis, alopecia areata, and plaque psoriasis.
