🧴 Clinical Application
Take orally 500 mg to 1000 mg dissolved in a full glass of water, or swallowed whole with water, 1 to 2 hours after meals or as directed by a nephrologist. Do not take on an overly full stomach.
⚠️ Side Effects
Common: Belching, flatulence, gastric distension, transient nausea. Rare/Severe: Metabolic alkalosis, hypernatremia, fluid retention, hypokalemia, and milk-alkali syndrome (if taken with high calcium intake).
