Remogliflozin
Active pharmaceutical substance formulated in Jan Aushadhi generic products for Diabetes & Endocrine treatment.
🧴 Clinical Application
Take orally with water, with or without food. Standard dose is 50 mg twice daily (morning and evening) or 100 mg SR once daily. When added to a sulfonylurea, a 50 mg once-daily morning dose is used to prevent hypoglycemia.
⚠️ Side Effects
Common: Headache, tremor, dizziness, nausea, nasopharyngitis, mild peripheral edema. Rare/Severe: Hepatic dysfunction (transaminitis, rare acute hepatitis), acute pancreatitis, and bullous pemphigoid.
🛡️ Safety Warnings
Liver function tests (ALT/AST) must be conducted prior to initiation, at 3-month intervals during the first year, and periodically thereafter; do not initiate if ALT/AST > 3x ULN. Reduce dose to 50 mg once daily in moderate-to-severe renal impairment. Discontinue if persistent abdominal pain develops.
Jan Aushadhi Products containing Remogliflozin
Found 6 generic formulation(s) containing this active ingredient.
Remogliflozin Etabonate 100mg + Vildagliptin 50mg Tablets
Vildagliptin (50 mg, 100 mg SR) is a cyanopyrrolidine dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor. It binds covalently to the catalytic site of DPP-4 with slow substrate-like kinetics, slowing enzyme dissociation and providing sustained incretin (GLP-1 and GIP) stabilization. This increases insulin secretion and suppresses inappropriate glucagon secretion in a glucose-dependent manner, eliminating intrinsic hypoglycemia risk. Indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Remogliflozin Etabonate 100mg + Metformin Hydrochloride 1000mg Tablets
Metformin Hydrochloride and Remogliflozin Etabonate is a dual oral antidiabetic formulation. Remogliflozin is an ester prodrug of a selective SGLT2 inhibitor that promotes glycosuria via renal tubular filtration, while metformin controls basal hepatic glucose output. Indicated for glycemic control in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Remogliflozin Etabonate 100mg Tablets
Remogliflozin Etabonate (100 mg) is an oral prodrug of remogliflozin, a selective inhibitor of renal SGLT2. It blocks glucose reabsorption in proximal renal tubules, increasing urinary glucose excretion and improving glycemic control without stimulating insulin. Indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults.
Remogliflozin Etabonate Tablets 100mg + Metformin Hydrochloride 500mg Tablets
Metformin Hydrochloride and Remogliflozin Etabonate is a dual oral antidiabetic formulation. Remogliflozin is an ester prodrug of a selective SGLT2 inhibitor that promotes glycosuria via renal tubular filtration, while metformin controls basal hepatic glucose output. Indicated for glycemic control in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Remogliflozin Etabonate 100mg + Teneligliptin 10mg Tablets
Teneligliptin (20 mg) is a third-generation, highly selective, orally active dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor. It features a unique J-shaped conformation that binds to subsite S1, S2, and S2-extensive pockets of the DPP-4 enzyme, achieving powerful enzyme inhibition (>80% at 24 hours) with a half-life of 24.2 hours. It is eliminated through dual hepatic and renal pathways, allowing standard once-daily dosing across all stages of chronic kidney disease (CKD) without dose adjustments. Indicated for type 2 diabetes mellitus as monotherapy or in combination with other oral antidiabetic agents.
Remogliflozin Etabonate 100mg + Vildagliptin 50mg + Metformin Hydrochloride 500mg Tablets
Metformin Hydrochloride and Vildagliptin is a weight-neutral, low-hypoglycemia dual antidiabetic formulation. Metformin decreases hepatic gluconeogenesis and intestinal glucose absorption, while vildagliptin, a potent dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, prevents the enzymatic degradation of endogenous incretin hormones (GLP-1 and GIP), stimulating glucose-dependent insulin secretion and suppressing inappropriate glucagon secretion by alpha cells. Indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus inadequately controlled by metformin monotherapy.
