🧴 Clinical Application
Take orally 1 tablet twice daily with a full glass of water, 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals. Complete the full 5-day course. Strictly avoid alcohol during therapy and for 3 days after completion.
⚠️ Side Effects
Common: Metallic taste, nausea, epigastric distress, headache, dizziness, flatulence. Rare/Severe: Tendinitis/tendon rupture (fluoroquinolone warning), peripheral neuropathy, disulfiram-like reaction with alcohol, and QT prolongation.
🛡️ Safety Warnings
Schedule H1 Prescription Antibiotic: Do NOT consume alcohol during and for 72 hours after therapy (severe disulfiram reaction). Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to fluoroquinolones or nitroimidazoles, history of tendon disorders, and pregnancy.

Norfloxacin (400mg) and Tinidazole (600mg) Tablets is a fixed-dose broad-spectrum antibacterial and antiprotozoal combination. Norfloxacin is a second-generation fluoroquinolone that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV. Tinidazole is a second-generation nitroimidazole that causes DNA strand breakage in anaerobic bacteria and protozoa. Indicated for acute infectious diarrhea, amoebic dysentery (Entamoeba histolytica), mixed bacterial-protozoal enteritis, and giardiasis.
