Usage Guidelines

RCC and GIST: Take orally 50 mg once daily for 4 consecutive weeks, followed by a 2-week rest period (4/2 schedule) with or without food. pNET: Take 37.5 mg once daily continuously. Swallow capsules whole.

General Administration Advice: Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage, frequency, and treatment course. For oral medications, swallow with sufficient water. Never stop antibiotics, psychiatric medications, or antihypertensives abruptly without clinical direction.

Possible Side Effects

Common: Fatigue/asthenia, diarrhea, hypertension, nausea, hand-foot syndrome, stomatitis, yellowish skin discoloration and hair depigmentation, hypothyroidism. Rare/Severe: Severe hepatotoxicity / liver failure, left ventricular dysfunction / congestive heart failure, osteonecrosis of the jaw (ONJ), and thrombotic microangiopathy.

*Note: Individual physiological responses vary. While many patients experience few or no side effects, notify your treating physician if adverse reactions persist or if hypersensitivity (angioedema, skin rash, dyspnea) occurs.

Precautions & Warnings

Black Box Warning: Severe, potentially fatal hepatotoxicity; monitor liver enzymes at baseline, during each cycle, and as clinically indicated. Monitor blood pressure, thyroid function (TSH), and left ventricular ejection fraction regularly. Routine dental exam recommended prior to therapy to reduce osteonecrosis of the jaw risk.
