Usage Guidelines
Take orally on an empty stomach, 1 hour before meals or 2 hours following food, swallowed with water. Food and stomach acid reduce oral bioavailability. Do not skip scheduled doses.
General Administration Advice: Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage, frequency, and treatment course. For oral medications, swallow with sufficient water. Never stop antibiotics, psychiatric medications, or antihypertensives abruptly without clinical direction.
Possible Side Effects
Common: Nausea, mild diarrhea, oral soreness. Rare/Severe: Severe anaphylaxis, urticaria, serum sickness, neurotoxicity/seizures at massive doses, and hemolytic anemia.
*Note: Individual physiological responses vary. While many patients experience few or no side effects, notify your treating physician if adverse reactions persist or if hypersensitivity (angioedema, skin rash, dyspnea) occurs.
Precautions & Warnings
Contraindicated in penicillin allergy. Prior skin testing is recommended before high-dose systemic administration if allergic history is uncertain. Report any throat swelling, hives, or breathing difficulty immediately.
