Crizotinib Capsules (250mg) is an oral small-molecule receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase (ALK), ROS1, and hepatocyte growth factor receptor (HGFR / c-MET) on the WHO Model List framework. It selectively inhibits ATP binding to the chimeric EML4-ALK fusion kinase or ROS1 fusion protein, halting aberrant downstream signaling. Indicated for locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that is ALK-positive or ROS1-positive as detected by an approved test.

Usage Guidelines
Take orally 250 mg twice daily (morning and evening), approximately 12 hours apart with or without food. Swallow capsules whole with a glass of water; do not crush or open.
General Administration Advice: Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage, frequency, and treatment course. For oral medications, swallow with sufficient water. Never stop antibiotics, psychiatric medications, or antihypertensives abruptly without clinical direction.
Possible Side Effects
Common: Visual disorders (light trails, flashing lights, blurred vision upon transition from dark to light in >60%), nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, edema, transaminase elevations. Rare/Severe: Severe hepatotoxicity, interstitial lung disease / pneumonitis, severe bradycardia, and QTc interval prolongation.
*Note: Individual physiological responses vary. While many patients experience few or no side effects, notify your treating physician if adverse reactions persist or if hypersensitivity (angioedema, skin rash, dyspnea) occurs.
Precautions & Warnings
Confirm ALK or ROS1 positivity before prescribing. Monitor liver function tests every 2 weeks for the first 2 months. Perform regular ECG and pulse monitoring (risk of severe sinus bradycardia and QT prolongation). Discontinue permanently if treatment-related pneumonitis develops.
