Midazolam Nasal Spray is an emergency rescue formulation for acute repetitive seizures and status epilepticus. Delivered across the nasal mucosa, it provides rapid systemic absorption directly into cerebral circulation via the olfactory/trigeminal pathway, bypassing hepatic first-pass metabolism to arrest prolonged convulsions within minutes.
