Clinical Overview
Cinnarizine and Dimenhydrinate is a dual-target vestibular formulation. Cinnarizine acts as a selective T-type calcium channel blocker, inhibiting calcium influx into vestibular sensory hair cells and dampening labyrinthine hyper-reactivity, while dimenhydrinate (diphenhydramine-theoclate salt) blocks H1 receptors in the vestibular nuclei and solitary tract, suppressing the vegetative emetic reflex. Together, they provide synergistic peripheral and central vestibular suppression. Indicated for the symptomatic treatment of various origins of vertigo in adults.
