Clinical Overview
Minoxidil (5%) and Finasteride (0.1%) topical solution is an advanced dual-action therapy for male androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness). Minoxidil stimulates dermal papilla vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), opens potassium channels, and prolongs the anagen (growth) phase of hair follicles, while topical finasteride selectively inhibits type II 5-alpha reductase in the scalp, lowering local dihydrotestosterone (DHT) levels by up to 70% with substantially less systemic exposure than oral finasteride. Indicated for male androgenetic alopecia of the vertex and anterior scalp.

Usage Guidelines
Ensure scalp and hair are completely dry. Apply 1 mL using the dropper or spray applicator directly onto the scalp in the hair loss area twice daily. Gently spread with fingertips. Wash hands immediately with soap and water. Allow solution to dry completely for 2-4 hours before washing hair or sleeping. Continuous daily use is required to maintain hair regrowth.
General Administration Advice: Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage, frequency, and treatment course. For oral medications, swallow with sufficient water. Never stop antibiotics, psychiatric medications, or antihypertensives abruptly without clinical direction.
Possible Side Effects
Common: Scalp itching, dryness, erythema, temporary increased hair shedding (in first 2-6 weeks as telogen hairs shed), contact dermatitis. Rare/Severe: Systemic absorption effects (decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, dizziness, palpitations, facial hypertrichosis).
*Note: Individual physiological responses vary. While many patients experience few or no side effects, notify your treating physician if adverse reactions persist or if hypersensitivity (angioedema, skin rash, dyspnea) occurs.
Precautions & Warnings
Strictly contraindicated in women who are or may become pregnant; finasteride causes severe genital malformations in male fetuses. For adult male scalp use only. Do not apply if scalp is inflamed, sunburned, or abraded.
