Ketoconazole topical cream (2% w/v) is a broad-spectrum imidazole antifungal agent. Usage Guidelines
Apply a thin layer to clean, dry, affected skin and surrounding tissue once or twice daily. Gently rub in until absorbed. Continue treatment for at least 1 week after clinical disappearance of all symptoms. Wash hands after use.
General Administration Advice: Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage, frequency, and treatment course. For oral medications, swallow with sufficient water. Never stop antibiotics, psychiatric medications, or antihypertensives abruptly without clinical direction.
Possible Side Effects
Common: Local application site erythema, pruritus, burning sensation, dry skin. Rare/Severe: Severe allergic contact dermatitis.
