Active pharmaceutical substance formulated in Jan Aushadhi generic products for Supplement treatment.
🧴 Clinical Application
Neural tube defect prophylaxis: Take 5 mg orally once daily starting at least 1 month prior to conception and continuing through the first trimester of pregnancy with water. Megaloblastic anemia: 5 mg daily for 4 months. Depression adjunct: L-methylfolate 7.5 mg to 15 mg once daily.

Extremely safe. Rare: Mild gastrointestinal distress, sleep disturbances at high doses.
🛡️ Safety Warnings
Over-The-Counter essential vitamin. High doses of folic acid (>1 mg daily) can mask the hematologic manifestations of Vitamin B12 deficiency (pernicious anemia) while allowing catastrophic irreversible neurological degeneration (subacute combined degeneration of the spinal cord) to progress; rule out B12 deficiency before treating megaloblastic anemia.

Folic Acid 15mg, Cyanocobalamin 500mcg & Nicotinamide 200mg Injection (10ml)
Folic Acid (5mg, 15mg) and L-Methylfolate Calcium (1mg, 2.8mg, 7.5mg Tablets) is an essential water-soluble B-vitamin and active tetrahydrofolate derivative on the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines. L-Methylfolate is the active methylated metabolite (5-MTHF) that crosses the blood-brain barrier directly without requiring enzymatic reduction by methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR). Transports one-carbon units for purine and thymidylate synthesis, essential for DNA replication, cell division, and homocysteine remethylation. Indicated for prevention of neural tube defects (spina bifida, anencephaly) in pregnancy, treatment of folate deficiency megaloblastic anemia, hyperhomocysteinemia, and adjunctive therapy in depression.
Vitamin B-Complex Injection (IM/IV)
Vitamin B-Complex Formulations (Tablets, Capsules with Zinc, Syrup, and Injection) is a balanced formulation of essential B-group vitamins (B1 Thiamine, B2 Riboflavin, B3 Niacinamide, B5 Calcium Pantothenate, B6 Pyridoxine, B9 Folic Acid, B12 Cobalamin) on the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines. B-vitamins act as critical water-soluble coenzymes in cellular Krebs cycle energy production, carbohydrate and lipid metabolism, erythropoiesis, and myelin integrity. Indicated for prevention and treatment of generalized B-complex deficiencies, aphthous stomatitis/glossitis/angular cheilitis, convalescence, chronic debilitating illness, and nutritional maintenance during prolonged antibiotic therapy.
Combo pack of Vitamin C Injection + Vitamin B12 + Folic acid + Niacinamide injection
Methylcobalamin Injection (500mcg/ml, 1500mcg/ml) is a parenteral coenzyme form of vitamin B12 on the WHO Model List framework. Bypasses intestinal intrinsic factor absorption barriers to replenish intracellular cobalamin pools, promoting neuronal myelin sheath synthesis, axonal regeneration, and methionine synthase remethylation of homocysteine. Indicated for severe peripheral neuropathy, diabetic neuropathy, megaloblastic anemia, subacute combined degeneration of the spinal cord, and pernicious anemia.
