🧴 Clinical Application

Thyroid cancer: 24 mg once daily. HCC: 8 mg (<60 kg) or 12 mg (>=60 kg) once daily with or without food with water. Swallow capsules whole.

⚠️ Side Effects

Common: Severe hypertension, diarrhea, fatigue, decreased appetite, weight loss, arthralgia, proteinuria, palmar-plantar erythrodysesthesia. Rare/Severe: Cardiac dysfunction, arterial thromboembolism, hepatotoxicity, renal failure, and posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome.

🛡️ Safety Warnings

Control blood pressure prior to therapy; monitor BP weekly during the first 2 months and monthly thereafter. Perform routine urinalysis to check for proteinuria. Withhold lenvatinib prior to major surgical procedures due to impaired wound healing.

Lenvatinib Capsules (4mg) is an oral receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor that selectively inhibits VEGFR-1, VEGFR-2, and VEGFR-3, along with fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFR-1, FGFR-2, FGFR-3, FGFR-4), PDGFR-alpha, KIT, and RET. Indicated for locally recurrent or metastatic, progressive radioactive iodine-refractory differentiated thyroid cancer, first-line treatment of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and in combination with pembrolizumab for advanced endometrial carcinoma or advanced RCC.
