🧴 Clinical Application

Administered strictly by subcutaneous injection once daily at the exact same hour each day (usually bedtime or morning) using disposable pre-filled pen or insulin syringe. Rotate injection sites daily within the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Never administer intravenously or intramuscularly. Never mix or dilute in the same syringe with any other insulin.

⚠️ Side Effects

Common: Hypoglycemia, injection site pain, mild lipodystrophy, weight gain, peripheral edema. Rare/Severe: Severe, life-threatening hypoglycemia (seizures, coma), anaphylaxis, and severe hypokalemia.

🛡️ Safety Warnings

Never mix with any other insulin formulation. Never inject IV. Do not freeze; store unopened pens in refrigerator (2-8°C); in-use pens can be kept at room temperature (<30°C) for up to 28 days. Daily injection site rotation is mandatory to prevent lipohypertrophy.
