Folicacid

Folic Acid (5mg, 15mg) and L-Methylfolate Calcium (1mg, 2.8mg, 7.5mg Tablets) is an essential water-soluble B-vitamin and active tetrahydrofolate derivative on the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines. L-Methylfolate is the active methylated metabolite (5-MTHF) that crosses the blood-brain barrier directly without requiring enzymatic reduction by methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR). Transports one-carbon units for purine and thymidylate synthesis, essential for DNA replication, cell division, and homocysteine remethylation. Indicated for prevention of neural tube defects (spina bifida, anencephaly) in pregnancy, treatment of folate deficiency megaloblastic anemia, hyperhomocysteinemia, and adjunctive therapy in depression.

Methylcobalamin Injection (500mcg/ml, 1500mcg/ml) is a parenteral coenzyme form of vitamin B12 on the WHO Model List framework. Bypasses intestinal intrinsic factor absorption barriers to replenish intracellular cobalamin pools, promoting neuronal myelin sheath synthesis, axonal regeneration, and methionine synthase remethylation of homocysteine. Indicated for severe peripheral neuropathy, diabetic neuropathy, megaloblastic anemia, subacute combined degeneration of the spinal cord, and pernicious anemia.
