🧴 Clinical Application
Dilute the prescribed dose (15 to 30 mL for adults; 5 mL for children) in a full glass (at least 200 mL) of water or fruit juice and drink after meals, two to three times daily. NEVER consume undiluted. Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
⚠️ Side Effects
Common: Mild gastrointestinal irritation, diarrhea, stomach cramps, nausea (minimized by diluting in water). Rare/Severe: Metabolic alkalosis, hypernatremia, fluid retention in cardiac failure.

Over-The-Counter urinary alkalizer. Always dilute in water before swallowing. Contains significant sodium; use with caution in patients with hypertension, congestive heart failure, edema, or severe renal impairment.
